Children's Ministry

Director of Children's Ministry:

At Lattimore we offer fun activities for all children. On Sunday mornings, there is a nursery available for the wee little ones during the Sunday school and preaching services. When we get more kids coming during the Sunday school time, there will be a children’s Sunday school class hopefully very soon!  During the preaching service the children are part of a children’s chat and then they go downstairs for children’s church where we provide the children with a more age appropriate lesson along with playtime, crafts and games. On Wednesday nights the children met at 6 to hear a lesson and have fellowship time together and a meal is also provided on Wednesday nights.

Our schedule of events:

Wednesday night service right now is from 5:20 pm-around 8:00 pm (that includes picking children up and then taking them home afterwards.

On Sunday’s : A few Sunday’s a month I keep the kids after church for lunch, fun activities and a Bible lesson.

Once a month we have a fun activities, it may be going to get ice cream, eat out at McDonald’, s goes eat pizza, go see a movie, and, much more.

In the summertime we have Vacation Bible school and that is always a fun time full of fellowship, games, crafts, and bible lessons that the kids can be a part of and enjoy together.

In the summertime we have weekly bible lessons and fun activities that our planned that the children can be a part of to learn about Jesus Christ together and have a fun time!

For Easter we learn the Easter story together and also have an Easter party that includes an egg hunt and fun games.

The fourth of July is a big event for our church, we have a parade in the town of Lattimore, a biscuit sale and hotdog sale and a lot of nice music, games for kids, and this is a great outreach for our church to reach the community.  We also have the kids and youth be a part of making a float that they get to ride throughout the parade.

Christmas is a great time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  A few months before Christmas we try to plan a children’s Christmas play/program with singing and the story of his birth.
